blog post 9

My group so far has had a rough start on our entire documentary. our trailer went well, but we've hit a couple road blocks, scheduling mix ups and computer problems have led us to fall behind. on the bright side we are all working as a group, we all do our part and we can safely say we have all put our own personal spin on every aspect of our documentary. i think it will turn out great.

in the reading it talked about freedom of speech in cuba...but i think it was more about freedom of speech in general. so many nations are not given the privilege to have free speech such as we do here, and even here we have limits to what the public is allowed to hear. the fact that our own personal thoughts and actions can be censored or the government can scare us enough to make us not even think to say it at all is sad. everyone should be able to say how they feel and express themselves, whether its god or bad, whether or not you are bashing the government or supporting it.. people are scared to know the truth, knowing that those who speak the truth are the loudest and most aggressive people makes it even scarier. limiting the freedom someone has to assess their country and speak freely is a crime against humanity.
